Silver - always. I'm very allergic to gold. I love the way gold looks but it doesn't love me. I also love the way silver looks, particularly when paired with pearls or turquoise. Platinum works, too!
I'm definitely a silver person though to be honest I can't exactly say why. I've always loved silver from being a little kid, just attracted me more than gold. The only gold I wear now is my wedding band and a pair of opal studs my dad had set in gold. One thing I love about it is the shine, catches my eye much more than gold.
Silver. I used to wear gold all the time and now most of it just looks gaudy to me. I probably just burned myself out on it...Or had too much fake stuff. ;)
Silver. Why? It's warm. It's magical. It's shiny. It contrasts to my skin tone. And I just plain like it better. It always stands out and it harmonized with any color.
White gold if it's a special piece, otherwise silver. It's a color preference for me, I like the look of silver or white gold better than the look of yellow gold.
I've always worn gold, have very little silver, even though I know silver seems to be easier to find and may be more the trend. My wedding rings are silver and it's just too hard to coordinate everything with silver for me.
Gold-it just seems warmer to me?? More flattering to most skin tones.
I think it depends on your skin tone. I have an olive complexion and dark hair so always wear silver. I'm no expert, but I've just never liked the way gold looked on me.
Silver. I feel it goes with more things. I think gold is currently used less right now. I'm sure it will flop back someday but for now bring on the silver.
Silver. If you look at what everyone is wearing/buying silver is king right now (think of all the white gold and platinum out there right now).as
So far 8 silver; 2 gold. It's helpful for designers. While I prefer working with gold, and it's a niche needing to be filled, I also want to make sure I have plenty of pieces that would appeal to the majority.
Well, I do like silver because I think I look better in it, but I also enjoy working with it both shiny and oxidized for variety. OTOH, I really like MIXED metals and for me, copper and brass mixed with silver could be a "gold mine!"
silver, but I can't really say why - I guess i just think it looks better on me? Plus, it's easier (cheaper) to amass a huge silver jewelry collection than a gold one!
Silver - 98% of the time. Well, less if it's gold but white :) I just really prefer the color and "feel" of silver. Gold just seems more blah to me. Silver is fun and goes with everything I own much more so than gold.
I'm late to the party, but I prefer the color of silver to the color of yellow gold. My ears are HIGHLY allergic to silver, however, so anything I put in them needs to be 14k or higher; even 10k makes them swell and itch. Silver, white gold, and platinum are what I prefer; I think the yellow of gold is....sort of brash? And the white is a tonier sort of look.
Silver, silver, silver. I don't know...I guess I'm one of those people who think gold is gaudy! BTW, I don't like diamonds either!
Definitely silver! I love the way silver looks with everything. I think of silver as more youthful and modern. Although gold looks nice(sometimes) silver just seems to always look more sophisticated. Gold sometimes just seems too overpowering with the color. Also gold seems "dark" while silver seems to be more "light".
Silver. Prefer the coolness silver color over the warmth of golden color.
Silver, definitely~ but I can't wear it in my ears :( I don't like the look of gold for the most part but do wear tiny tiny child studs sometimes just to keep the piercings.
Silver- it's shinier and I like shiny.
Silver - Gold looks cheap for some reason. LOL Although it's not. I think it was just too overused in big ugly jewlelry for too long. I'm sure there will be a gold phase at some point.
I'm a gold girl but I can't realy give you a reason why. I think it looks nice on my skin I guess :)
Silver for me. Silver doesn't clash with certain colours unlike gold.
