WARNING! INVASION!!

They came from the sky!
Dogs were jumping out of their skins all weekend long!

One even landed in the field outside our backyard!

Then it proceeded to die!

Big dude trying to help the dying creature.

What it takes to land one of these things!

"Smile! You're on Candid Camera."

Awww ... I think this is a mother and son moment!

My neighbor.
He has a bigger camera than me!
I blurred his face.
He works for one of those government contracted companies.
Top secret sort of stuff.
So I blurred him.
Otherwise we'd have to shoot y'all.

It's kinda cool to live a couple of miles away from a balloon festival!

Stumble It!

Oh what beautiful pictures and it brought back the memories of being up when we went to the Albuquerque balloon festival about 3 years ago. If I could afford a hot air balloon I'd have one in a second.

I just love the balloons..They have a big show in Maine. Somewhere in August..never had a chance to see it.
I did a couple of paintings with balloons in them..I think they are the neatest things..But to be truthful..would be scared to death to go up in one. Yep, I am a ninny.

I'm with you, Rosebud! Scared to death of heights and you'd never, ever see me in one of those. But they are so much fun to watch, from the ground.

The photo with the three people trying to land the balloon ... that was an unscheduled stop. I heard that one of the passengers couldn't finish the ride so they dropped down by us to let her out.

Looks like it's pretty exciting to see all those balloons fly in your neighborhood and one of them actually landing in your yard. It must be quite an experience to actually fly in a balloon. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

Those balloons are so cool! I love the Hooters balloon deflating, just makes me think of what's going to happen to those Hooters girls as they get older! ha!

looks like a lot of fun, is this in new mexico?

Not only beautiful to look at, but exciting too. How funny that the Hooters balloon, crashed and burned LOL. I don't understand why you would have to shoot all of us, if you didn't hide the gentlemans identity. Would it not be easier to just shoot him? I hope you get my humor, and I am not obviously serious.

How gorgeous! I remember seeing hot air balloons from our backyard in Iowa when I was a little girl. Such a beautiful sight.

I love how you put this together! How lucky you are to live so close to them. I have only seen the once and it was grand!
